FAQs

I have heard some horror stories around unauthorised therapists administering injectables. Who will be administering the injectables?

Dr. Hegde has had more than 20 years, in Cosmetic Medicine. She has a special interest in injectable treatments- facial muscle relaxants and facial filler treatments. She is an experienced Cosmetic Physician. Injectable treatments are always carried out by Dr Hedge at the clinic.

What is the standard procedure with regard to the consultation?

On a full consultation with Dr Hegde, an individualised treatment will be specifically tailored to you to treat your particular problem areas.

What can Fillers do?

Fillers are specially designed to rejuvenate, fill out folds, wrinkles, contour and create volume. Common areas treated are lips, cheeks, restoring some of the volume loss created by aging or the nasolabial lines.

How are the Fillers applied and are they safe?

The fillers are introduced delicately into the skin to create a filling effect. We use non-permanent fillers for tissue augmentation. Stabilised gels of non-animal origin, are our fillers of choice.
Our dermal fillers are safe, easy to apply, and require no allergy testing. The results are excellent and the product feels natural under the skin.

Will there be bruising after the treatment?

Certain areas are prone to bruising but there is often little downtime after the procedure. Many of our patients experience no pain at all and minimum or no side effects.

What is the difference between Fillers and Muscle Relaxants?

Muscle Relaxants freeze the muscles to stop creases and wrinkles caused by facial expressions. These are typically found in the upper face, such as the forehead and around the eyes. Dermal fillers “fill in” or plump areas that have lost volume and smoothness.

How long will Muscle Relaxants Last?

Muscle relaxants are temporary and usually last 3 to 4 months. Usually, within three to five days, you will start to notice a reduction in muscle contraction (wrinkles) with the greatest reduction after two weeks. Some of the wrinkles will disappear when the muscle is weakened, and others will reduce as the skin remodels over several weeks.

Regarding the Skin Peels, is there any downtime?

Our peels are superficial, requiring little or no time away from work, generally. Most people experience a mild tingling sensation at the time of the peel. There is no pain and minimal if any discomfort.

What is involved in having a Skin Peel?

Skin peeling is a procedure aimed at removing old skin components, stimulating the function of newly formed skin structures and to treat superficial changes on the surface of the skin.

How many are recommended to achieve the maximum effect?

Usually, several treatments are required. Your skin will feel clean and fresh initially. With repeated peels over several weeks, skin starts to feel softer, and smoother.
